Hello Falcon Family,
As we pray for the souls of those who lost their lives in Friday’s tragedy, we also pray for their families. Our faculty and staff will be attending the Monday night prayer service at Vandalia-Butler’s SAC and we invite all of you to attend as well. Please see the graphic below for more details.
Many of our newer families may not recognize the Knox family name and its connection to St. Christopher School. Clyde and Sally Knox are the grandparents of Libby Knox, a St. Christopher 4th grader. Also, as a member of the Vandalia-Butler Transportation Department, Sally was one of our regular Passport-to-Safety characters known as “Silly Sally.” My own daughters remember her well.
As the Knox family takes to grieve, they are not only in need of our prayers, but also our financial support. The Knox family will have many relatives coming in town this week. We are asking for monetary donations, so we can purchase gift cards for groceries, gas, and lodging to ease the burden of the coming week. Since we have a personal connection with the Knox Family and we are organizing this specific effort directly with them, please do not post this message or its links publicly. We would like to keep this a school-only effort.
Lastly, a meal train is being started by another school family and those details will be posted in social media soon.
Thank you for your continued support of our St. Chris families during times of need. Amy and I are blessed to be a part of this wonderful community.
