Lots going on here at SC! How is it already May this week?!
Schedule:
A Few Things:
1. Bravo to our band and a cappella students last week at their concert! Man oh man were they impressive. Mr. Linegang and Ms. Gerhard sure do a great job with those kids. Watching all the schools come together to play was pretty neat!
2. Our First Communion celebrations continue the weekend. Keep sending those prayers to our students 🙂 It was so awesome to see them receiving at Mass today!
3. This week we are celebrating neurodiversity with a highlight on Dyslexia. We have been hearing on the announcements about celebrities with dyslexia (like Walt Disney) and teachers will be completing a lesson throughout the week. A huge thanks to Ms. Noelle and the team for putting this together!
4. It’s Shadow Week! We have several potential students lined up to shadow with our classes to see what St. Chris is all about- and are they sure in for a treat! It warms my heart to see our students embrace the kids. What an exceptional community.
5. A reminder that the 5th-8th Grade Spring Music Concert is Tuesday, May 12. Travel through the decades with us 🙂 I have attached the info sheet for reference.
6. Please see the attached Heifer International Thank You Note to check out all the great purchases made with the money raised. These kids are making a difference!
7. Our 7th Graders have spiritually adopted babies and prayed for them and their families all school year. They will be hosting a Baby Shower on Thursday. This event is planned by our 7th Graders- Each class comes by the shower to drop off donations, play games, and enjoy a treat. It is such a fun event!
8. Friday is Lunch Hero Day! We will be shouting out our wonderful Cafeteria Crew with a superhero themed OOU Day! Pull out those Halloween costumes or hero themed attire! I will give next Friday, May 8 as an OOU Day in exchange for this one being super themed.
Reminders:1. Mean Ole Trentman is back with another uniform update: Please be sure that polo shirts are being worn (even under quarter zips). Not a t-shirt with the zipper pulled way high. Also, we have lots of kids wearing shorts… please be sure they are the navy gym uniform shorts.
2. Enrollment has opened for all grades. If you have an interested family, please send them my way!
3. Our Field Day Committee has started planning! If you are interested in volunteering or donating a snack, please complete THIS FORM.
4. Save the date for SGFP Vacation Bible School! Please see the attachment.
