Hello & Happy Advent!
TikTok Challenge: our administration has been following the stream of school TikTok challenges this school year. While the most current challenge is more serious than previous challenges, it has no basis in our local area. The original TikTok challenge, originating in Arizona, was for students to skip school on December 17 and, at some point, the challenge was changed to a school shooting threat. Nonetheless, we will be hypervigilant tomorrow and the local police department will be ready for an immediate response, as always, if we notice anything out of the ordinary. The safety of our students is always our primarily concern.
Out of Uniform Day tomorrow. Please keep it nice, respectable, and preferably Advent or Christmas colors. If specific teachers have shared other themes/colors, those themes supersede this message.
COVID Corner:
- Current Local CR: 608 (last week: 532).
- Reminder, after Christmas break, we will return to a optional masking policy.
- County CR: 632 (Last Week: 535).
- State CR: 783 (Last Week: 718)
- CR = Case Rate = number of COVID-19 cases, per 100,000 people, during the last two weeks.
PTO Teacher Wish List: in case you missed this week’s PTO email…
- PTO has been working on getting a wish list together for the teachers and it is now ready. If you would like to get your child’s teacher a little something to say thank you, hopefully, this Amazon wish list (see below link) will take the guesswork out of the equation for you. Thank you!
