Mr. O’s Weekly News

December 3, 2021

Hello Falcons!

The Read-A-Thon raised close to $17,000!!!  A huge Falcon thank you to all who participated and supported this great event!

COVID Corner:

  • Local CR: 369 (our temporary masking threshold is 465)
    • Local CR = Local Case Rate = the number of COVID-19 cases, in zip codes 45377 (.54 weighting) and 45414 (.46 weighting), per 100,000 people, for the last two weeks.
  • County CR: 381
  • State CR: 601

Fevers: students with fevers should not return to school until they are fever-free, without fever-reducing medication, for twenty-four hours.

Poinsettia Sale items can be picked up in the Emmaus Center lobby on Tuesday, December 7, from 3:00-6:00pm.  Please email Kim Thompson with questions.

Student Drop-Off: if you park your car in the morning and walk your student to the school door, please park on the far/north side of the church parking lot (green rectangle) and walk between the cones (circled in yellow) to the sidewalk.  This creates a safer and faster process, as pedestrians do not have to cross car-rider traffic.

Christmas Program & Band Concert (Monday, December 13th, 12:30pm)

  • This year’s Christmas Program and Band Concert will be performed for the student body only, so we can spread out, and still play instruments and sing.
  • Although this event will not be open to family and friends this year, the event will be livestreamed and posted via the below parish media:

Hotmail Users: Hotmail has a unique filtering system and it appears some Hotmail users are missing some of my group emails.  This is more likely to happen when I send a large email to all families and on days/times when I do not normally send group emails.  My regularly scheduled Friday emails seem to be received fine, but on other days/times, the Hotmail filter is holding them.

  • If you have a non-Hotmail email address, we can swap the two.  Please email Kim Thompson to do that.
  • Or you can try adding the FACTS email to your Hotmail Safe List:
    • Click on “Options” in the upper right corner of your Hotmail screen.
    • Then click the link for “Safe and Blocked Senders” in the body of the page under Junk e-mail.
    • Click “Add” to put it on your list.

Have great weekend!

God Bless & Go Falcons!
