| October 30, 2020 Hello Falcons Families! Well, we made it through 10 weeks without a positive case. As one parent said, “we had a good run.” Indeed, we did have a good run. Our first positive COVID-19 test result arrived at 2:00 PM on Wednesday. By 2:30 PM, we had all close contacts identified and prepared for a two-week quarantine, and an email sent to their parents. The rest of the school was notified at 4:00 PM and the Health Department at 6:00 PM. More importantly, we have not seen any additional cases due to the spread. St. Christopher, pray for us! Service: Some of our 8th-grade students are helping out at the Vandalia Food Pantry on Fridays during study hall. |

| Youth Choir (from the St. Christopher Parish Director of Worship & Music): Youth Choir is starting back up at St. Christopher Parish for grades 2-8. Social distancing will be put in place at practices and when singing at Mass. Starting in December, the Youth Choir will sing at the 9:00 AM Mass on the 1st and 3rd Sunday of each month and on special occasions (Christmas, Easter, etc.). If we have a large group, we will split into 2 groups and divide up who sings which Sunday, so the kids can be safely spaced out in the choir area. Practices will likely be select Wednesdays 6:00-6:50 PM and will start in November. If your child would like to be in Youth Choir, please contact Kelly Schmitmeyer, Director of Worship and Music, by November 8 at kschmitmeyer@scpchurch.org or at (937) 538-1762. Reminders: Masks: Please pack an extra mask in your student’s backpack. Every day, students arrive at school without masks, lose them at recess, etc. Thank you and have a great weekend!
