Hello Falcons!

Father-Daughter Dance

  • Tomorrow/Saturday, April 9th, 6:00-8:00pm
  • St. John the Baptist’s Banquet Hall (753 S. Hyatt St, Tipp City, OH 45371)
    • Please enter through Door #4 or #6.
  • J. Spivey Photography will be taking pictures.  Order forms will be available at the dance and they will be accepting cash, checks, and credit cards.

Spring Band Concert will be Monday, May 2nd from 6-7pm in the church.

Iowa Test Results will be shared with you as soon as they are shared with us.  Tests are graded by a third party and they will not start grading our tests until all schools have completed testing.  It could be May or June before we receive our results.  

Anticipated Return to Traditional School Lunch

  • The federal Omnibus Appropriations bill did not contain language or funding to extend pandemic child nutrition waivers for ’22-23 school meal programs.
  • Tentative lunch pricing for next year is $3.50/lunch and that includes milk. 
  • More information will be shared before the start of the school year.

St. Christopher Vacation Bible School (July 17-21 from 6:00pm-8:00pm) 

  • Registration coming in May.
  • Children ages 4 to incoming 4th grade enjoy VBS.
  • Kids becoming 5th and 6th graders go to VBX.
  • Teens (7th grade and up) and adults are needed to volunteer with VBS.
  • If you wish to volunteer email Elise Sas at esas@scpchurch.org.

Easter Break this year will be Good Friday and Easter Monday.

Pastries with Parents

  • 7:00am to 7:30am in the School Cafeteria
  • Tuesday April 26th: students with last names beginning with A-M
  • Thursday April 28th: students with last names beginning with N-Z
  • If you cannot make your allotted day, you are welcome to attend the other day. We just wanting to make sure we have enough room for everyone.
  • PTO will provide pastries and breakfast beverages.
  • We hope to see everyone there! 

Spring Plant Sale Pick-Up is Thursday, May 12th  

Knights of Columbus Scholarship (for next year’s 6th, 7th & 8th Graders)

  • The Knights of Columbus support many causes and charities, and as members of St. Christopher Parish, they believe in supporting St. Christopher School.
  • They are offering two $500 scholarships for Catholic parishioner families with students entering grades 6-8.
  • The K of C Scholarship is for the 2022-2023 school year and is not automatically renewed.
  • This is a merit-based scholarship, not needs-based.
  • Applications are reviewed by the K of C Scholarship Committee and scholarships will be awarded based the applicant’s service to God and the Church.
  • The scholarships will be awarded based on three main criteria:
    • The information provided in the K of C Scholarship Application (see below link)
    • An essay to be completed by the student (essay prompt is provided in the application)
    • Teacher recommendations: the K of C Scholarship Committee will ask teachers to nominate students who serve others. Students should not ask teachers for recommendations.

Next Year’s School Calendar will be published soon.  We are still finalizing teacher professional and faith development days, but I know many families are trying to plan for the longer breaks, so here are the highlights of our 2022-2023 School Year Calendar:

  • 8/14 12pm: Open House & Supply Drop Off
  • 8/17: First Day for Students
  • 11/19-27: Thanksgiving Break
  • 12/17-1/2: Christmas Break (we will return on Tues 1/3)
  • 4/7-16: Easter Break
  • 5/26: Last Day of School (1/2 Day)
  • More to come: Teacher Professional & Faith Development Days, National Holidays, and Special Events.
