SPOTLIGHT:  SARAH HAGEMAN WELLER

College:  Xavier University

After graduating from Vandalia Butler High School in 1996, I went to Xavier University and studied social work. I met my husband, Jon while at Xavier and we were married shortly after graduating in 2000. I got my master’s degree from the University of Cincinnati in 2004 in social work. After working for several years in foster care, I have worked at Cincinnati Children’s Hospital for the past 10 years. I work with children who have feeding difficulties and do counseling with them and their parents or caregivers.  My husband and I live on the west side of Cincinnati and have 3 kids – Jackson (13), Maya (10), and Elena (8). Most of our free time and weekends are spent at sporting events or family parties. Both my brother and sister live on the west side of Cincinnati too so there are always plenty of gatherings!  My husband Jon works for the University of Cincinnati and travels internationally frequently. This past summer the kids and I got the chance to go to China with him. Hopefully it was the first of many travelling adventures for us as a family!
