High school: Vandalia-Butler

College degree: Air traffic control

Current location: Brownsburg, Ind.

Brandy says:

“St. Chris was the only school I knew during my childhood, and my experiences left me with many fond memories … ”

After graduating from Butler in 2002, Brandy moved to Pennsylvania and earned a college degree in air traffic control.

“In 2006, I was hired by the Federal Aviation Administration as an air traffic controller. After completing their academy training in Oklahoma, I was employed at the Indianapolis Air Route Traffic Control Center, where I still work today.

“My husband, Sam, and I met on our first day in training at the academy in Oklahoma City. We married in 2009 and welcomed our first child, Dane, in 2012. Two daughters, Evelynn (Eve) and Bridgette, followed in 2014 and 2016. Dane will be starting kindergarten in 2018 at St. Malachy School.

“I thank God every day for the life He has given me, for the people currently in my life, and also for anyone that has ever made an impact in my life. I have faith, love, family, health, and a good job that I enjoy going to every day, and that is all anyone could ask for.”
