Hello SC Families!
I wanted to share a new SC School Visitor Policy that will go into effect tomorrow, Monday, October 19.
You can certainly read the attached document, but here are the highlights:
- Visitors will enter the Main Entrance (Door 1) to be buzzed in and enter the main lobby.
- One of our staff members will meet you at our Visitor Station.
- We will scan your ID and print you a visitor badge.
- After your first visit, the system will recognize your name. We can print you a badge without repeatedly scanning your ID.
The biggest groups this will effect:
- Recess Volunteers: Whether indoor or outdoor recess, please come in to obtain a badge before heading out to duty.
- Library Volunteers: You will obtain a new badge each week.
- Parties: If you are volunteering for a party (Halloween, Christmas, Valentine’s Day), you will receive a badge before heading to the classroom. It will be important we leave plenty of time to scan and print badges as those are high traffic times.
- Conferences/Meetings: If you have a scheduled meeting with a staff member (conference, Service Plan Meeting, etc.) during our school day, you will obtain a badge before heading to your meeting spot.
I am grateful to Officer Phillips in helping to make this policy a reality.
Thank you for your continued support and commitment to keeping our school safe!

Sincerely,
Mrs. Trentman
