Hello and Happy Feast Day of St. Carlo Acutis! I am loving all these sports teams floating around- the kids look great!

CALENDAR:

A FEW THINGS:

1. Pick Up Reminder:

-When pulling in, please begin to fill spaces as close to the Emmaus Center as possible.

-Please take up one parking spot.

-If you do not make the 2:40pm deadline, please wait at the gate.
-Park and walk is not an option. Do not park in the Church Parking Lot and walk across the lots.

-Cars should not move until all children are in the car and a teacher has released you.

-Do not exit out the back/gate in an effort to beat the line.

-Want to go to the playground after school? Fun! When entering the parking lot for pick up, please park in the playground spots immediately. Deciding to go to the playground mid exit is challenging, and the parking spots go against the flow of traffic. Please do not head to those spaces while kids are loading cars.

Sorry to sound like such a grump- Mean Ole Trentman back again.

Officer Phillips and I will be wandering around this week to help.

Thanks for your help with this- these guidelines are necessary to keep our children and staff safe.

2. Educational Apparel will be in the gym on Thursday, October 15 from 4pm-7pm.

3. Looking Ahead- Starting in November, Kindergarten-5th Grade Students must wear uniform pants. I want to give you this heads up so you have a few weeks to double check pants, gym sweats, and leggings/tights (for under jumpers, skirts, skorts).

4. Thursday is Family Math Night!

-Thursday, October 15

-5:00pm-6:30pm

-St. Christopher School

-Math stations for Kindergarten-5th Graders

-Volunteer opportunity for our 6th-8th Graders (Mrs. Artin will share details)

-Estimation stations

-Pizza meal to go

-Family goody bag of resources to continue the learning at home

-The class with the highest percentage of participation gets a math lesson taught by Mrs. Trentman and some extra recess 🙂

-Even if you can only stay for a few stations, we would love to see you!

5. 6th-8th Grade: Please see the Youth Ministry Opportunities (below and attached)

JR HIGH Youth Ministry – NET retreat – Sunday October 25

St. Christopher Campus | 10:30am – 6:30pm
Grades 6-8
FREE retreat – registration required
Retreat includes Mass, Adoration, and Confession
Lunch and snacks provided
Led by NET ministry retreat team

2. We will be reciting the Guardian Angel Prayer at dismissal time for the month of October. Please encourage your child to practice it at home. Maybe a bedtime prayer?!
